About Tickets.com
Tickets.com is the North America’s second largest seller in the primary ticketing market (direct sale of live event tickets to consumers). Through our automated ticketing systems, Tickets.com enables entertainment and sports organizations to sell their tickets online, via retail outlets, kiosks, call centers and interactive voice response systems.
Tickets.com is a subsidiary of MLB Advanced Media, LP, the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball. Tickets.com is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, and has regional hub offices in Concord, Calif., Syracuse, N.Y., Meriden, Conn. and Madison, Wis. Tickets.com also has international offices in Australia and the U.K., which provide sales, support and technical services, with additional ticket sales offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Tickets.com was incorporated in 1995 and went public in 1999. A year prior to the IPO, the company embarked on an aggressive mergers and acquisitions strategy, combining the strength and knowledge gained through merging nine ticketing companies and seven software platforms into a single entity. The acquisitions were completed in 2000 and a year later, the company was rebranded under the Tickets.com name. In 2005, MLB Advanced Media, LP, purchased all outstanding shares of Tickets.com stock. Upon completion of the acquisition, Tickets.com became a privately held subsidiary of MLB Advanced Media.
The company’s products, combined with a commitment to developing the latest ticketing technology, are driving Tickets.com’s growth. Combining industry expertise with advanced ticketing technology, Tickets.com has the capability to handle such high demand events as the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup Soccer, as well as the diverse needs of museums, fairs, festivals, casinos, theme parks, performing arts venues, Major League Baseball teams and other professional sports organizations. The company provides its ticketing solutions and services to over 4,000 such clients worldwide.
