Hey everyone, Bill here…I’ve been given the honour of communicating to you the happenings around Kingston’s newest entertainment centre.  So here goes…

Our web site is still under construction. Even though all of the content is not yet in place, you will still be able to purchase tickets for all scheduled events through this site once they go on sale. We are working hard to finish the site and appreciate your patience.

We are excited to announce the first concert at the KRSEC will be The Tragically Hip. The Hip are donating the proceeds of the show to Lake Ontario Waterkeeper and one of the best kids’ charities in the province – Camp Trillium which provides support for youths stricken with cancer.  I’m sure that I’m not the only one who is brimming with anticipation for the Hip to hit a big-time stage in Kingston!

From what I hear there are lots of other great events scheduled for the Centre and they’ll be announced on Saturday, December 15th…just in time to get those last minute Christmas gifts!

I was allowed another peek at the construction site last week.  Exciting stuff!  Lots of guys going great guns to get everything finished on time.  They’ve got all the piping in place in the arena floor for the ice.  The glass is all in and they have lots of heaters on so they can work on the interiors. Walls are going up everywhere, suites taking shape.  The guys are drilling all of the holes in the pre-cast concrete to fit the seats into when they arrive.
